Kairos

Kairos

The memory your machine never had.

Kairos records every focus session, file touch, and AI-agent claim on this computer into one private journal — then lets you ask it anything, rewind any day, hold your agents accountable, and see why the machine feels slow. All local. No screen recording.

You lived the day. Kairos kept the thread.

Focus sessions, file touches, and agent work land on one quiet timeline — then you ask it questions.

The full picture

One journal. Six things you could never do before.

Ask your day anything

“What was I doing before lunch?” “What changed while I was gone?” Answers come from the journal with evidence rows you can open — never a guess dressed up as a memory.

Rewind any day

Scrub a playhead across your day like video — per-app swimlanes, file touches nested under sessions, a Time Machine for every retained day. Drag a window and ask about just that hour.

Hold AI agents accountable

Cursor and other tools drop claims into the same timeline as your own work. Kairos grades each one — Reported, Corroborated when a real file touch matches, Disputed when evidence conflicts.

See your week honestly

Focus hours versus last week, context switches, top apps, recurring patterns by day and hour, a file heatmap, and a quiet weekly wrap — computed from what actually happened.

Diagnose the machine

Crashes, hangs, memory pressure, and thermal state get named and explained — with the option to quit allowlisted apps under pressure and trace what a process spawned.

Own every byte

Choose collection depth, exclude apps entirely, keep 1–90 days or forever, delete a date range, export as JSON, or wipe it all. A PII audit shows what is stored — nothing phones home.

Built for the agent era

Your agents say they did the work. Kairos checks.

AI agents now edit files, run commands, and browse while you are away. Kairos gives them a place to log what they claim — and grades those claims against what the machine actually observed. No other journal on your computer does this.

Claims arrive over a local socket, an HTTP endpoint, drop-in files, or the bundled Cursor hook and Python / TypeScript / MCP SDKs. Ask “what did the agent do while I was gone?” and get the graded record.

When the machine feels wrong, ask it why

Kairos names crashes and hangs, watches memory and thermal pressure before they bite, and can quit runaway apps you have allowlisted. Vitals are observed live — it never invents hours of CPU history it did not store.

  • Mac · Windows · LinuxSame journal on every OS — Windows ships for both x64 and ARM64.
  • CLI & query languageWHY, TRACE, SHOW BLOCKERS, REPLAY — root-cause chains from the causal graph.
  • Your data, exportableJournal stays on this machine — export or wipe anytime. Kairos itself is proprietary software.
