Local journal

Kairos stores focus sessions, file-activity metadata, agent claims, and related journal data on your computer. It does not screen-record. You can wipe or export data from Settings. We do not receive your journal contents as part of normal use.

Website & install

The download site and install scripts are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Standard web logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) may be processed by Cloudflare for delivery and abuse prevention. We do not sell personal data.

Checkout & licenses

Paid subscriptions are processed by Polar. Polar receives payment details and the email you use at checkout. We store license metadata tied to your Kairos ID (and related session identifiers) so we can issue and recover license keys. See Polar’s own privacy policy for payment processing.

Optional signals

If you use in-app usefulness / feedback features, we may receive anonymous or low-detail ratings (for example OS and app version) without your journal text.

Updates

Update checks may contact our update feed to learn whether a newer build exists. That request typically includes platform information needed to select the right package — not your journal.
